The South African Department of Mineral Resources has launched an investigation into the mining accident at the Harmony Gold Kusasalethu last week that resulted in the death of five workers.
According to an article published by enca.com, “no stone should be left unturned” in their investigation into the incident.
A release from the Department of Mineral Resources stated the following: “It’s concerning for us that we are losing our people in this manner. We appeal to companies and labour unions to ensure that our goal of zero harm is realised.”
