Project Controls Manager, responsible for two elements out of three elements of PM, that would be cost and schedule, ensure project is delivered within the determined budget or lower, if possible. Also ensure project is delivered within the timeframe set and agreed upon (baseline schedule) by the client at the beginning of the job.
I have been in the Project Controls field for over 8 years now. Prior to that, I have been field engineer, as well as as QA engineer.
Currently, I am working in US, a massive (+700M) utility portfolio brought me to US back in January 2016, and since I have been working here in PA. However, I am a Canadian Citizen, and look for all the best opportunities back home.
I have attention to detail, also can easily see the bigger picture, envision what needs to be done and perhaps figure out the best and more efficient and effective way to execute it.
My engineering background provided me with a knack for math and numbers/analytical skillsets.
I love seeing projects on track and on the way to a successful execution by estimating, planning, setting up, and flawless initiation. PCM lends commercial insights and should be right hand and left hadn’t to PM or project directors.
Reading, music, rock climbing, mountain climbing. Generally try to decompress as the PCM is quite stressful. Spending time with family back in Canada every chance I get, and traveling is what keeps me motivated. Upcoming travels in August, and it would be Ireland.
