I am a Supervisor at LDI and love what I do on a day-to-day basis, which is taking part in the general operations of running a very clean and green palladium mine.
I have been involved in mining and construction for over 20 years now.
I work at Lac Des Isles Mine, just 93kms outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
I chose this as my career because it’s close to home and family (who all live in Thunder Bay), and also because of the importance of working for a company who is very safety-based and environmentally conscious.
My shift is 14 days on, 14 days off, which allows me to spend a lot of time at home or travelling with family.
Mining is very much family oriented in a way that some of the greatest people you will ever meet are miners. Everyone is always looking out for each other, and always works together to achieve goals and in the process make lifetime friends.
For fun, I love to ride motorcycles, as well as fish and camp as much as possible.
