Who
What
I am the Business Development Coordinator for design/build general contractor Fox Cities Builders located in Seymour, WI, USA.
My role within the company is evolving with changing times and pace. I oversee the development and delivery of training for our current employees as well as promote both companies online via social media. Included in my job duties is new hire orientation, general administrative duties within our office and basic IT skills to keep our crews up and running electronically in the field. When you call into our offices, generally I am the first person you will speak with.
On an average day in our office, I work with all levels of management within the organization. I have the opportunity to learn about the business and grow with it. By working with our sales team, project management, and draftsmen I have a better understanding of the projects we work on; this allows me to write interesting storylines for our project promotions via social media. My day goes by fast and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
How Long
I have been with Fox Cities Builders since May 2014. Each day presents new challenges and I enjoy the fast pace. I learn something new from our crews, drafting team, and sales team each day.
Where
Fox Cities Builders has been in the construction industry for fifteen years. Two years ago this February, a sister company was formed; it’s called Performance Fab. They work to fabricate the steel structures for Fox Cities Builders. My role crosses over between both companies.
Why
Fox Cities Builders works on commercial and agricultural projects. My background is agriculture. I grew up on a 200 cow dairy operation that is still going today. After schooling, I went on to work in a corporate office that taught customer service and sales skills that are top in the industry. However, I began to miss my roots and being near agriculture; the team at Fox Cities Builders offered an opportunity for me to get back into the AG industry. We specialize in building robotic dairy operations- yes, cow really can milk themselves! Working with dairy operators is part of the customer base we serve and my background is key when working with customers and answering their questions.
For Fun
For fun, my husband and I enjoy finding new craft beers, wine tasting and attending WI Badget Football games, and of course cheering on the Green Bay Packers! I also enjoy whitetail deer hunting and ice fishing (specifically sturgeon spearing on Lake Winnebago in February). We have a weimaraner name Chloee and she keeps us busy!
