Eight teams from across the province will travel to Red Lake this June 4-7 to participate in the provincial Ontario Mine Rescue competition. This year’s competition will be held at Newmont Goldcorp’s Red Lake Gold Mines. The eight teams won their respective district competitions, held May 6-10. They include: Algoma: Barrick, Hemlo Williams Mine Kirkland Lake: Kirkland Lake Gold, Macassa Mine Onaping: Glencore, Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations, Team Lefebre Red Lake: Newmont Goldcorp, Musselwhite Mine Southern Ontario: K+S Windsor Salt, Ojibway Mine Sudbury: Vale Canada, Team Hamilton Thunder Bay: North American Palladium, Lac des Iles Mine Timmins: Newmont Goldcorp, Porcupine Gold Mines READ HERE
