The Skin Cancer Foundation reports that about 90% of non-melanoma skin cancers are associated with exposure to UV radiation from the sun.
Protect yourself by:
- Applying sunscreen with at least SPF 15 to exposed skin
- Cover skin with clothing. Wear light, loose clothing to keep cool in the heat
- Take frequent breaks in the shade
- Wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays to protect the eyes
