Eldorado Gold Corporation confirmed that it has received two critical permits to continue mining operations in Greece yesterday.
The Canadian gold producer announced that the Ministry of Energy and Environment had granted them the Olympias Operating Permit and the modified Elctromechanical Installation Permit for the tailings management facility at Kokkinolakkas.
At this time, the corporation confirmed that they are still awaiting approval for the technical study at the old Olympias Mine, installation permits for the paste plants at Olympias, as well as the amended Electromechanical installation permit for the Skouries flotation plant.
Eldorado’s decision to halt operations in Greece is still up in the air.
