A leaked report by Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke recommends that American President, Donald Trump, alter the protection of 10 national monuments.
The recommendation suggests that four of the national monuments’ boundaries be altered to allow for commercial forestry and mining, according to a report by the Washington Post.
Other highlights of the leaked report include:
- Change in management of the 10 national monuments
- Modification of allowable activities within the boundaries of the national monuments to allow for grazing, logging, coal mining, and commercial fishing
