Emergency crews were sent out today to rescue and treat an injured worker on a construction site in Ottawa today.
Paramedics and firefighters worked together to rescue a 40-year-old worker who suffered a medical emergency at work in a 75-foot deep hole construction site, reports Ottawa Citizen.
The worker was working in the pit when he began to experience severe back pain. Unable to leave the construction site without assistance, emergency crews were deployed to the site.
The worker was in stable condition, and was transported to a hospital to seek further medical treatment.
