- Make sure the portable ladder that you are using is designed for the task at hand.
- Prior to using a ladder, always inspect it for damage. Never use a defective or damaged portable ladder.
- Keep ladders away from power lines
- Make sure you face the ladder when climbing/descending
- Don’t carry materials up the ladder
- Never work from the top 3 rungs of a portable ladder
