Lightning Safety

If you are caught outdoors in a lightning storm:

  • Get indoors, if possible
  • Seek shelter inside a vehicle, if possible
  • Seek shelter in low-lying areas
  • Stay away from bodies of water
  • Avoid objects that conduct electricity
