1836 - The Arc de Triomphe is introduced to the world.  The monument was constructed to honor those that served in French wars.

1977 - Oil flows through  the Trans Alaska Pipeline System for the first time.  The line is  intended to last the entire life cycle of the oil source.

1926 - The first aluminum ingot is smelted in Arvida, Québec.  The city itself will become a model for innovative construction and human living conditions.
