1809 – August 19 is a milestone for both Molson Brewery and Canadian shipping. Today in history the steamboat Accomodation was launched. The Accomodation was the first steamboat to be both commissioned and built entirely in Canada. The success of Molson Brewery would eventually lead to the commission of the Swiftsure in 1812.
