1896 – Skookum Jim Mason discovers gold in Rabbit Creek near Dawson City, Yukon. His discovery would become world famous drawing in treasure seeks from around the world. In 1994, Skookum Jim Manson was designed as a National Historic Person for his discovery and role in the Klondike Gold Rush.
