Update
Canadore’s carpentry class was cancelled this week, and to tell you the truth, I was a bit relieved. Not because I wasn’t looking forward to building again (I was), but simply because I didn’t have another project lined up.
After having finished the colossal project that was my gate, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to leap back into another big project or try something a bit smaller. I had every intention of going into class tonight
The Options
I really want to make something that will be useful for me and that will help me further develop my skills. After scouring the web, I’ve narrowed it down to three options. They are all varying in skills, difficulty, and time. Here they are in order of (what I think is) least difficult to most challenging:
Option 1: Phone Charging Station
A simple and sleek phone charging station may be the way to go. As a smaller project, I’m certain I could finish it in one class session.
Option 2: Shoe Rack
I’ve had this shoe rack on my to-do-list since before my first class. The end result of this project would be functional for me- and to top it off, it’s pretty!
Option 3: Coffee Table
This seems like the biggest project of the four options. This beautiful coffee table would look great in my home, and would easily replace my current hurting unit. Downside: it has an X on each side (which posed a bit of difficulty for me with my gate), and that makes me a bit nervous.
The Decision
Help me decide! Which project should I work on next? Should I go ahead and tackle a big project? Or just bang out the small one? Or perhaps go with the Goldilocks option and do the one that’s juuuuust right?
I’ve included a poll below! Let me know your thoughts!
