Approximately 300 new jobs will be created when LG Electronics opens its factory in Detroit, Michigan, according to this article by Tech Crunch.
A minimum of 292 factory workers and engineers will be required to run the 250,000-square-foot plant, which is being constructed to supply EV parts domestically.
The new facility will easily lend its capabilities to partner, GM, for whom LG supplies critical EV components for the Chevy Bolt.
$2.9 million in grants have been awarded to LG by the Michigan Business Development Program, which will be distributed over a period of 4 years.
