Handling Chlorine Safely

  • Only trained workers should handle chlorine cylinders and containers
  • Never stand under a container or cylinder that is being moved
  • Properly secure chlorine when being stored at the job site
  • Ensure hoists and forklifts are able to safely carry the weight of chlorine and containers
