- Always ensure that 3 points of contact are being made at all times while using a step ladder
- Prior to use that the step ladder is safe to use (i.e. free from damage or wear, etc.)
- Avoid the use of a step ladder in dangerous locations, including areas with slippery or unstable grounds, areas near electrical wires, etc.
- Don’t overreach: If something is out of reach when using ladder, always get off step ladder and adjust the position
