1961 – The first ever 6 Flags theme park opens in Arlington, Texas. In addition, to becoming the first 6 Flag Park in the franchise chain; the park would become a pioneer in all-inclusive admission pricing as well as several original rides including: man made rapids, roller coasters and drops.
