Poison Ivy

  • Poison ivy is a plant that can leave you with an itchy rash after contact
  • The rash is not contagious and does not spread
  • Immediately rinse any affected area with lukewarm, soapy water
  • Wash everything that may have oil from the poison ivy on it, including clothes and any tools it may have made contact with
  • Do not scratch, as this can lead to an infection
  • Short, lukewarm baths and calamine lotion can both help deal with itching
