Technology in farming, like technology in all other industries, has evolved. It has streamlined processes, resulting in higher efficiencies, less waste, and higher production levels.

Here are a few examples of technology in the farming industry:

Apps have proven to be an asset in the farming industry. Farm management apps exist to perform necessary functions such as:

• Mapping field boundaries
• Remotely irrigate fields, selecting which material to be dispersed
• Keeping cloud-based digital records
• Managing and maintaining fleets

Drones

Much like the construction industry, drones have proven to be quite useful in agriculture. Drones can be used to:

• Monitor fields
• Increase production and yields
• Identify pests and reduce crop damage
• Track farm progress
