Mazda Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation have announced a joint venture to develop technology for electric vehicles.
The joint venture, EV Common Architecture Spirit Co Ltd, will be 90% owned by Toyota, with the remaining 10% to be split between Mazda and Denso, according to Fortune.
EV Common Architecture Spirit will “develop technology for a range of electric cars, including mini vehicles, passenger cars, SUVs, and light trucks”.
