Continued development of the Carrapateena Mine Project was approved by Australian OZ Minerals’ board late this week. The project, which is anticipated to cost $916 million is estimated to allow for mine productions by the end of 2019.
Project developments include site infrastructure, above ground materials handling systems, access roads, and power access.
Australian Mining reports that it is estimated that the mine, located in South Australia, will yield 65,000 tonnes of copper and 67,000 ounces of gold per year over a span over 20 years.
