Within hours of each other, two workers have been killed due to falls on construction sites in New York City.
43-year-old Juan Chohillo fell from a high-rise construction site, while a second death occurred from a fall at an external elevator shaft, reports the Financial Post.
Both falls are currently under investigation.
“We must end this epidemic and come together as a city to ensure that we do everything our power to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities for the men and women who are building our skyline.”
– Gary LaBarbera, President of the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York
