Cat Footwear is getting behind the trades by supporting students as they enter the workforce.
On June 14th, Hard Hat Hunter hosted its first Work Boot Walkathon where numerous students and industry professionals gathered at Canadore College Commerce Court campus to raise money for its new fundraiser: Hard Har Hunter, Tools for Schools.
The event successfully raised over $5000 to help relieve the financial burden of many students and allowing them to get a head start on their careers. The funds raised from the event have gone towards bursaries and grants, as well as the purchase of tools for graduating students.
Hard Hat Hunter would like to thank all of its contributors and sponsors, including Cat Footwear. Cat Footwear has generously donated work boots to the graduating students of the trades and technology program at Canadore College. Therefore, ten pairs of Cat Footwear boots will be provided to ten deserving students at the upcoming convocation on June 28th, 2018.
Martin Sharp, the Director of Marketing for Cat Footwear states, “We believe that Hard Hat Hunter’s Work Boot Walkathon is a great initiative to help students kick-start their careers. Cat Footwear wanted to be a part of that movement and encourage safe work practices from the get-go.”
Trades graduates are the future of the industry, and very quickly, students learn that the industry is a tight-knit community that supports one another.
Once again, Hard Hat Hunter thanks all its supporters and their ongoing commitment to the trades.
