Work Hard First
Plan to complete the most strenuous activities of your day in the morning before temperatures rise.
Wear Appropriate Clothing
Cover your skin with loose, breathable clothing. Bonus: light-coloured clothing reflects the sun, keeping you even cooler.
Don’t Wait Until You’re Thirsty
Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water throughout the day.
Eat cool foods, such as salads, fresh vegetables, and fruit. Bonus: Sweating burns electrolytes. Replenish them by eating fruits and veggies.

Take quick 5-minute breaks every hour in the shade or air conditioning to keep cool.
