Back injuries are no surprise to a trades worker. Many jobs require the skill of lifting and when that time comes, employees should be trained and knowledgeable of how to life properly. If not done correctly, there is a chance you can damage your back. Here are 5 tips to help you reduce back injuries:
- Bend with your knees.
- Secure a good grip on the object you’re lifting.
- Assure that the object you’re lifting can be done safely.
- Make sure you keep the object close to you while lifting.
- Preform an extended stance to increase your balance.
